florida and summer evenings

A lot has happened since my last blog post so I figured it's about time to do another update. Summer has been very busy, which I know I have mentioned before, but seriously, it's crazy. I'm gonna be kind of glad once it starts to slow down a bit. This is pretty much a photo dump.
Mom sent me this picture of Tessa. While they were in Ohio for a reunion she got stung by a bee near her eye. I can't help but laugh every time I see it.
 Skillet cookies with friends.
Weekly ice cream run with this friend after nursing home singings.
They didn't didn't want me to leave. also look at that gorgeous sky?
Dasia got a little excited about funnel cakes...
Sisters days. Culvers for lunch and then shopping. I had to work so I didn't get to do much, but spending time with my sisters is always fun:)

The spray planes have been at it and have let up in the past couple of weeks. Also, fun fact. The run way for these plane is about a mile and a half from our house, so we hear these all. the. time.
Truck pulls with my friends! So fun, although some of them did not enjoy them as much as I did.

 Hannah and Jaylyn
We found my friend Paige and her family! Love this girl and her family. From L-R. Erin Ehnle, Jaylyn Knobloch, Paige Ehnle, and Me
Sometimes I complain about working early on Saturday mornings, but I can't complain so much when I see early morning light. There is something so peaceful about it. Especially if there is a bit of fog. My favorite.
We spent a fun Sunday evening at David and Crystal Streitmatters.
Wednesday night Polar Bear run after church. Apparently that night was the night to go, because half the church showed up:)
One Friday night we celebrate Grandpa Endress's 70th birthday. It was such a fun evening as it always is with the Endress family. Also the next pictures are an attempt to depict how crazy my family is and how crazy our family events can be.

Ellie pushing watermelon across the deck
Libby and Tessa taking selfies on my phone
 Hugging a post?
How many Endress's can you fit in one room. A lot when there isn't much room
They had everyone line up in two lines...
 And spank the birthday boy!

 Grandma pulling on Lane's leg
Corbin climbing down the from the top. Wonder who told him to do that. Ahem Dad…also I can't believe this kid already has his drivers permit and is going to be in High School. Where has the time gone?

 Always comparing smartphones...

 Josie and I
If this picture confuses you,  those are chickens wrapped in towels. Prepping for the 4-H fair
 Baptizing the chickens
This girl can play with anything. Here she is pretending her peppers are people

Quelf with my sisters. Cassie made a pretty good snorkel
Tessa saw this sign and started freaking out. She said, "Don't go there!" and I was thinking where is she talking about? "That place with the green sign. Rhea took me there once and it was disgusting."
So we stopped at Hucks and she got a slushy and I got my lemonade.
Cassie and Kip Hoerr at the 4-H show. I was thankful to be able to stop by during my lunch break. Once again Cassie did really well.
Sophie also loved the fair. She would run around by herself.
Holly came over one night and had supper with me while my family was on vacation.
Also, Hannah brought me back some chocolate from her trip to Switzerland. So yummy!
First successful flight alone. Peoria to Atlanta, Atlanta to Sarasota. I was a little nervous, but everything went well and I didn't have any issues.
Sophie's first time to the beach and she loved it!
The sand was like powder! So soft!

Life is good for this 3 year old. A beach and a juice box. Can it get any better?

"Wanelle, I want to show you something special. Isn't this beautiful? This place is wonderful!" When did she start using such big words? Stop growing up little Soph!
This is a horrible picture, but Soph and I took a night walk on the beach after eating out. It was great.
We stayed at the Surf and Racquet Club in Siesta Key which is that taller, skinnier building. Such a nice place with 2 pools and a private beach!

Does anyone remember clips like these? I had to laugh at the dolphin shape
One night we went out for ice cream and ended up finding a cute frozen yogurt place called Sweet Frogs.

I can't tell you how many times I did this during the days I was there...
This is one of the pools, and then the other one was right on the beach!

All packed up. Packing for 6 girls takes a lot of bags and luggage.
I got my family to stop at this little Podunk BBQ place one the way home, because I looove BBQ. Claire and Rhea were not too happy to stop here so they said they were going to stay in the van. Then they googled the next closest restaurant and it was 16 miles away, so they decided to come inside.

 It was actually really good!
Tennessee looked beautiful. And just like that my small vacation to Florida was over. I'm going to be honest, I was glad I wasn't there any longer. Florida isn't my most favorite state. Also, I don't enjoy laying out on the beach all day. I need a little more action than that. I did enjoy my time there though. Vacations are always nice:)
I enjoyed going with Rhea to ICC to get her student ID and showing her around. I can't believe she is in college already! So crazy
Mom accidentally didn't see these zucchinis so she gave them to Tess and Soph, who then turned them into babies. There imaginations are hilarious!
Summer evenings are the best. Especially with little Twixie always guarding me. She always has to be near me when I'm outside. It's so cute:)
Today we celebrated my co-worker Heather being done with all treatment! It's been such a journey for her and I'm so thankful it's all done! It was also her birthday, so we really had reason to celebrate!
 Celebration always calls for pizza!
Tonight was the Junior High girls camp out with the Single sisters in Princeville. We had a hay rack ride, bonfire, s'mores, and lots and lots of giggling girls. I opted out of staying over night.

Instead I came home where my family was all in a tent outside for their own camp out. Again I opted out of sleeping outside. My bed sounded nicer. Plus on Monday night I slept on a trampoline with Amber, Hannah, and Jaylyn which was nice, because the Illinois weather has been absolutely gorgeous! And the girls have started school and schedules will hopefully become more consistent. Hopefully this keeps me updated for awhile:)
