Summer Fun

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS LOTS OF PICTURES!

So who knew my Memorial Day wasn't over when I pushed publish on my last blog post? I went to the nursing home like normal on Monday night, because it was on the calendar. When I got there 3 of my friends were standing outside, and naturally I thought, "How nice of them to wait for me." But no, they were not waiting for me. There was no one inside ready to sing and the lights were out. So we decided to go out to eat(actually Hannah Schick just went home). Kourtney Stahl and I had never been to Texas Roadhouse, so that's where we went. It was a fun time! Afterwards we walked around Bass Pro for awhile, because we really had nothing else to do.

Her face after I told her I ordered her some Sperrys...
Some people in our family also got iPhones. My mom even started using emojis this week. Shock of shocks!

She is finally graduated from High School. Yay!
Kristy and Hans at graduation.
Doing the "college girl partier" pose. It's hilarious. We laugh when we see pictures similar to this. And sorry for any of you college girls who pose like this. We really don't mean to offend you:)
I rode up and back to Oakville with Ben and Katie and the cousins.

If you steal my phone and take a selfie on it, I will post it on my blog. Just a forewarning to anyone else who decides to do so:)
Aunt Patty reserved some spots at a restaurant in Burlington, so we ate there before heading home with some of the other Steiner relatives.
We took a walk along the riverfront while waiting for the others to show up.

Looking out at the "beautiful" Mississippi river. Its looks absolutely disgusting.
And this random guy played a song for us, which actually was pretty good.

I should probably explain why I was even in Oakville. I was there for Tim Ringger and Wendy Wettstein's wedding, which was really nice. I stayed at Erika Massner's(surprise, surprise, right?)
We couldn't possibly be related.
For those of you who don't follow me on Instagram, this is one of 19 selfies my dad took on my phone. I'm telling you, I'm serious when I say I'll post it!
The Book Nook. I don't know if I have ever blogged about this magical place, but I will do so now. Basically, it is a minute from where I work and it's a used book store. They have a very large section of Christian fiction and nonfiction. It's absolutely amazing, and I'll admit to getting several others hooked, with whom I randomly would run into here. It's great. Seriously. The prices are amazing and the books are almost like new(most of them). Definitely worth your time and money if you like to read!
I have this thing for fog. I love it. Especially in the early morning when the sun is just coming up. There is something beautifully, fascinating about it.
 Selfie #3
The Polar Bear is FINALLY open, so they really wanted ice cream(it was them that wanted it, right?)

The first taste was delicious and every bite after that. It brings back so many memories going there after school. I definitely don't get it as much as I use to, but that's probably a good thing too.

Last Saturday I went to the Moss Ave sale with Amber. It is basically a huge antique sale on Moss ave. Moss ave has some amazing old houses on it, so adding an antique sale on top of that is just amazing. I got this awesome chalkboard and Amber got an old wooden trunk. I will definitely be going next year, and hopefully get my mom to come along, because it will be something that is right up her alley!
On Sunday, Grandpa took us out to eat and Dad picked Panera. My dad has good taste(literally).
Kind of an unattractive picture of Gramps, but he's so cute.
Fresh strawberries from the patch calls for strawberry shakes right?
So, I'm hoping to move out in the near future, so i've been checking Craigslist and such for deals, and I found this 34 pc set of dishes for $15. It has 8 place settings. They are kind of plain, but really, you eat off of them. They don't need to be fancy.
They finally came in. We have matching ones now:)
And she loooves them. She's a shoe lover already. Kind of like a few of her older sisters(possibly all:))
Today is Dad's birthday, so he took his girls to Alexander's Steakhouse. It's really nice, and I'll admit, I've always wanted to go here, so I was excited to go. He wouldn't tell us where we were going and then we showed up here. It was sooo good, but also very expensive!

Just waiting...

Isn't my dad the best? I sure think so:)

Yumm.....
On the way to the Steakhouse and on the way home, Dad drove up and down Grandview drive so we could look at all the houses. I love looking at all the houses. My favorite are the English country looking ones. There are so many different styles on Grandview drive, so I just enjoy each one's unique differences. My dad knows how to have a good birthday if you ask me:)

And there was this beautiful sunset on the way home also. The bug splatters are compliments to the van window.

Also a side note. My mom and Claire have been in Mexico all week, so we have been trying to hold down the fort this week. Mom actually decided to go the day before they left, but I'm thankful she did decide to go, because I think it's a good experience for everyone! Maybe someday I'll post my pictures from 4 years ago(has it really been that long) but then again I may chicken out, because I look so weird back then. I'm really enjoying my summer so far. It hasn't been crazy busy, and I absolutely looove being outside and with my family. They are both blessings! And also another side note, I am leaving for Oregon in 2.5 weeks. I don't think I mentioned it in any other post, but a couple of months ago I decided to buy a ticket, because Tressa Sinn invited me out for invite a friend. I'm actually going a week before the invite so I can spend sometime vacationing. I'm really excited to see my Oregon pals again, since I haven't seen them since January. If you guys could just move a little closer that would be great. Thanks. Anyways, you all will probably not see much activity on the blog until after then, so until then, have fun!
